growing bonsai juniper
bonsai in my room?
its a nana juniper in particular. I want to keep a bonsai tree in my room, but im not sure if its possible. I thought of putting in under and Spotlight / grow light of some sort. a bit like those lights they use in hydroponics to keep my tree alive. What do you think? or are there other bonsai that work better, instead … What also would be a bonsai juniper or other cost trees? Thank you
Junipers do not stand up well indoors because they require cold winter temperatures to survive. At Unless you keep your room from 40 degrees F in winter, you must select another species. Bonsai, which are used inside must be tropical plant species, which means any species that comes from a region where weather is warm all year, just like your home. The species you choose should correspond to the light you have in the location you plan to keep it. I suspect you can not have low light and that will limit your options. Compact fluorescent lights are cheap and effective flood when placed immediately on top of your plant. However, as the only source of light they are suitable only for low and medium light plants. Bonsai costs depend mainly age and art. Premium Bonsai are hundreds of years and cost thousands of dollars. cash Tropical Bonsai young can be purchased for about $ 50. I would be suspicious of anything much cheaper than that. Do some research to find the dim light, tropical bonsai species.
