Help!! The leaves of my lucky bamboo and my bonsai start to curl!!?

Hi everyone,

I bought lucky bamboo and a tropical bonsai a few weeks ago. I water them 1-2 times a day. I put them by the window with no direct sunlight at all. Now the leaves start to curl sideway, and there are some small brown spots on the tips and some parts of the leaves. What is wrong with them? Do I water them enough or what?

Thanks for all the help

1. Lucky bamboo does better in only water, no soil.
2. The tropical bonsai seems to be getting too much water. Hundreds of tropical plants are made into bonsai, so it is difficult to know what to tell you if we don’t know the species. However, GENERALLY, you don’t water any plant until the top portion of the soil is dry. You can place your finger in the soil, and if the top 1/2″ of the soil is dry, then water it. This of course, is another GENERAL rule. You may want to read the Bonsai Care page on my site:
